The Crowning with Thorns Week 3, Day 1: Overcoming Pride and Seeking Humility Entering the third week of our Lenten journey, we reflect on the Crowning with Thorns, a sorrowful mystery that deeply symbolizes the humility of Christ in the face of mockery and suffering. This week, we focus on the virtues that counteract the seven capital sins, starting today with the antidote to pride: humility. Scripture: Philippians 2:5-8 "Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross."
